P4 (U24): Explain the behaviours and attributes required for a specific job role.
M2 (U24): Explain how personal behaviours and attributes affect career development opportunities within the media industry.
D2 (U24): Explain the importance of etiquette when working on a media production.


Illustrator:
Behaviours and attributes of a illustrator:

IT Skills:
An illustrator needs to be good with IT because that will be a big part of what they are working with so they will need to know their way around the software to complete their job efficiently and the illustrator will be doing the drawings by using computer aided design so it would the job a lot easier to be completed. 

Work to a brief:
An illustrator needs to be able to work to and follow the brief because they are working for their client and if they go against what the brief says then they will be disobeying their instructions which could ruin their professional reputation. If the illustrator sticks to the brief then it can mean that they are able to complete the project quicker as they will know what the client wants so they will know what they should be doing.

Solve problems creatively:
If the illustrator can solve any problems that arise in a creative way that can benefit the project then it will be a skill that they will know because they will be able to use it to their advantage as it could mean that they could make their own decisions which have the least amount of risk to the project they are working on.

Adapt their style:
If the illustrator can adapt their style to suit to different briefs and requirements from the client then it will mean that their professional reputation will increase because the word will get out that this illustrator can adapt their style to fit any brief and change when required to. By the illustrator being able to adapt it will allow them to change their type of work to what the client wants.

Work to a deadline:
If the illustrator can work to a deadline it will allow them to get the job done for the deadline because it shows a certain amount of discipline and it will also be abiding by the deadline that the client has set. This will help the illustrators professional reputation because the work they do will be done on time and that will please the client.

Photographer:
Behaviours and attributes of a photographer:

An eye for detail:
The photographer needs to have an eye for detail because if they can pay attention to the small details that will make the purpose of the photo stand out to the audience. This will help the photographer to sell the product because the images are going to be one of the first things that the customers sees so they will be drawn towards it due to the detail and because it is different from other adverts as it will draw the customer in more than other adverts. 

Creativity and Imagination:
A photographer needs to have a good imagination and be creative because it will allow the to create and capture the shots from different and unique angles that makes the subject of the photo stand out to the background. This will help the photographer as they can draw the audiences attention to the product in the foreground as they can make it stand out more to people viewing it. 

Patience and Flexibility:
A photographer needs to be patient and flexible because they cant control every variable as not everything can go the photographers way such as the lighting may not be correct or the camera may not give the photographer the desired results. This is why the photographers need to be patient because they will need to wait to get the right shot which can be very time consuming. This would be useful for the photographer because it would make the product stand out more to the audience as everything will be right.

Passion:
A photographer needs to be passionate about their job because it will show through their work as they are willing to work longer and harder so they can be better and make their work to the best of their ability. This will benefit the photographer because they will find it easier to get free lance work as their work will show that they are passionate about their craft.

Good People Skills:
A photographer needs to have good people skills because they will be working with people all of the time as they need to communicate with people about how they can get the best out of the resources that they have to make the best product. This will benefit the photographer because they will be able to work well with others which means that they will have to network to get clients so by photographers knowing how to connect and communicate effectively with others is imperative.

Project Manager:
Behaviours and attributes of a Product Manager:

Time Management:
A project manager needs to have good time management skills because if they don't as they are the life at the centre of the product so if deadlines aren't met then it the whole product may be effected. By the Project Manager having good time management skills it means that they can complete work to deadlines which means that they will be able to obtain more clients because they will have a reputation of getting job finished to the deadline.

Communicating:
A Project Manager needs to be able to have good communication skills because they need to be able to talk to the people who are subordinate to them to delegate tasks to them. This means that they need to be able to communicate effectively otherwise the project won't get completed because no one in the project will know what tasks that they should be doing.

Analytical Skills:
A project manager needs to be able to analyse data once they have collected it because it means that they can see what in the project is going well and what needs improvement whilst also being able to see what the competitors are doing so they can do it differently and make their project more unique to the rest of the markets.

Leadership Skills:
A project manager needs to have good leadership skills because they need to be able to delegate tasks to their subordinates because they will need to give orders. A project manager also needs leadership skills such as holding themselves responsible and accountable because it will show to their subordinates how to act whilst doing their tasks. This will lead to the project being finished quicker as they will all be working to the best of their ability.

Director: 
Behaviours and attributes of a director:

Leadership Skills:
A director needs to have good leadership skills because it is their vision that the project will be about and the end product which means that they will be in complete control. Leadership skills will also allow the director to be able to control the project and makes sure everything goes to plan which is why they are so important for the project to have a good director. The director also has to be able to work all of the equipment because he may need to show someone how to properly use it to get the best from the equipment.

Time Management Skills:
A director needs to have good time management skills because they need to meet deadlines otherwise the project won't get finished. This means that it is very important for the director to have good time management skills because in order to get things done on time as a schedule adds structure to the directors vision and allows for different tasks to be completed quickly. It also allows them to take full control of the project because they know what tasks that they should be doing.

Flexibility:
The director needs to be flexible because they won't have control over every single aspect of the project so they will have to learn to be flexible in the areas that they can't control as they don't have full control. For example if the scenes need to be changed because they may be to violent for the target audience then they will have to be re shot which means that the director would have to be flexible to the change.

Creativity:
A director needs to be creative because they need to draw the audience in so by the director being creative it would help to draw new customers in as they will be drawn to the unique ideas of the product so it won't be boring, because the directors job is so important because it is their job to bring the idea to life and make it so consumers would want to watch it.

Communication skills:
A director needs to have good communication skills because they need to talk to their team to tell what to do as they have to tell people what to do and how to do it because it means that they can get the best product possible and so that different people know what tasks they should be doing and when the tasks should be getting done by. It also means that the different teams know which jibs they are meant to being doing because the communication would be very effective which would increase productivity among the workers.


M2 (U24): Explain how personal behaviours and attributes affect career development opportunities within the media industry





















Skills needed for the job:

- Ability to pitch

All of these skills would make a good marketing and media manager because all of these attributes mean that a person who acquires these qualities would be suited for this job role, especially leadership because they will need to be confident when working with people and delegating tasks for people to do as they will have to make sure that their colleagues are completing tasks on time and getting them done properly. 

It is also important that the candidate has experience because if they go into a job that they don't really know what they are doing then they can make mistakes which could cost the company a lot of time and money sorting those mistakes out. This means that with the candidate having suitable experience in this area then they can understand what work that they are doing then they will be able to deal with delegating tasks to subordinates because that will be part of their job and with that experience they will be comfortable with doing their job.

Media manager is an industry where it is possible to move up the ranks as their career develops. The salary starts of at £50k - £65k a year but is likely to increase as they get promotions.

All of these skills will make a good head of marketing employee because they are able to work well with others and they can be a good leader. This will make a good head of marketing because they can strategise the best plan of action and stay organised and stay focused throughout the entire project. This means that they can make decisions effectively and analyse which option poses the highest reward and the lowest risk.

Teamwork is another skill that a head of marketing would need because they will have the ability to work well with their subordinates because they are working with people during every task that they are doing. 

The salary for this job is around £40k - £55k per annum which can be increased if they get promoted to higher roles in the company. For this job they would need to have experience because they are going into a management role and they are going to be leading a team so they will need to be experienced in leadership.



D2 (U24): Explain the importance of etiquette when working on a media production

The importance of etiquette when working on a media production is paramount such as being respectful, good manners and being polite.

For example if you were head of marketing, etiquette is very important in order to be successful because this job is all about being strong in power and empathetic with the team they you control and respecting them and by leading by example and to not be late or to dress unprofessionally.

As well as this you will be in charge of a team that will be looking at you for guidance and for answers and they will need to show etiquette so that the employees that they are in control of know how to act when they are working on a media product because it could lead to the project getting completed quicker.

Etiquette is also very important in this job role because it demonstrates professionalism which would lead to better communication during the process of the project. This would help to attract clients to the business because they will see how they operate and the success and meeting the deadline of the projects. This will intern mean that the reputation of the business and of the manager will be better because it will show that they are good at their jobs and they care about the projects that they are working on.

Finally etiquette is important because it will help to build a better rapport with the clients because they will feel respected as they will be treated well and feel that they are being listened to and that what they want out of the media project they are getting.
